Unit eighteen discusses modals, phrasal verbs, and passive voice. I had the most difficult time with this unit as I was taught (many, many, many years ago) that a sentence is better without using (what I now realize is called) phrasal verbs. Seeing the statement \"He took her on.\" is most confusing to me as a statement is not supposed to end with a preposition, although, in this case, I believe the unit is saying that the verb is \"took on\". I admit, I am still not totally understanding this particular topic, and I spent quite a bit of time looking for additional assistance on the Internet before taking this test. I honestly do not know if I would teach this as my understanding of these phrasal verbs is not much above intermediate. unrelated to unit reflection: question eight states which \"sentence\". There is only one sentence and the other three are \"questions\". Is that a \"trick question\"? The word \"let\" was not part of this unit (I don't recall it was), and the statement given is not formal, and the word 'let' is not even a modal, so I am going to disregard that one and select the most polite request, \"would\".
