Should we plan lessons? Generally we think that we should plan lessons in detailed. But sometimes it can make the class fixed , boring and teacher centered. It is important to plan lessons to inexperienced teachers though, we should keep in mind that classes should be flexible not fixed. Then what is the effect to plan lessons? It can be an aid to planning. We can think about the goal to achieve and the way to lead students logically. The next merit is it can be a working document. And the last thing is it can be a record. After long time passed or the next class, I can check that we have learned the previous class. And if another teacher covers my class then I can get to know what to do in the next time. The ways to writing down a lesson plan are: 1. Just make it easy not difficult and hectic. 2. Never write down the script then it can be really fixed 3. Structure it and whenever do that same structure 4. Note the expected time and activity 5. Confirm the balance 6. Keep flexible The things we should include in a lesson plan are: 1. Learner objectives : it means I can set up the goal to achieve of students. 2. Personal aims : it is my aim.(teacher) 3. Context 4. Teaching aids: something to help teachers to teach easily such as videos or photos and so on 5. Anticipated problems: if we expect problems then we can prepare in advance 6. Procedure 7. Phase: Engage, Study or Activate 8. Timing: the anticipated timing we should make to be prepared and organized but should keep in mind that it should be flexible 9. Interaction: T-S, S-S, S-T 10. Class level, number of students, Date/time, teacher?s and observer?s names.
