In this lesson I learned modals, passive voice and phrasal verbs. The \"modals\" are can, could, might, may, will, would, must, have to, should, ought to, have got to, need to and needn't to. They are before verbs to add meaning to the verb. Modals can be used to express a number of different reasons: obligation, possibility, permission and advice . In passive voice the agent ( doer or action ) much less important while in active voice the focus is on the doer or the agent or doesn't appear.Phrasal verbs has transitive and intransitive verbs. The transitive verb is followed by a direct object while intransitive can't be followed by a direct object.
