In this unit I learned about different forms of evaluation and testing. I learned that evaluation is important to monitor students and analyze their strengths as well as their weaknesses. I learned about the different types of testing: placement, practice, external, diagnostic, and progress. I learned about how each test is useful and when it is best to have the students take it. Finally, I learned about the different types of external tests for ELL to prove their fluency in English depending on what they need from each test.This unit explores the wide variety of resources that a teacher can use in the classroom. It looks at the materials and technologies that are available and how to use them to improve lessons.The unit also contains a useful list of online resources.
Whilst looking at some of the basic principles for board-work, I learnt that capitalised text is more difficult to read than the lower case text and also to involve students in the writing process. The online resources that have been listed in this unit are very useful. Thank you!
