I really enjoyed this lesson. I have always looked at the phonemic words in the dictionary, but have never had any explanation of them, or reason to teach myself - in fact I didn't even know what it was called! Learning the phonemic alphabet was the most enjoyable part of this course so far for me, and I'm really looking forward to helping students with pronunciation after this unit. I think I will use lesson slots for this, as I can see how it would be easy to skip over pronunciation in the classroom. I have experienced this myself when learning other languages, and I think it is a great pity.
