I learn in this unit that when selecting vocabulary to teach, we need to consider: - Appropriateness to the students - Appropriateness to the task or lesson - Frequency of use and coverage - Teachability The gramatical structure is largely determined by the level of the class, however, it's important for the student to know what the language means, how he can use it, formation and patterns of the language and spoken and written form. It's not only about vocabulary and gramatical structure but also language function (inviting/refusing/agreeing/suggesting...).Past simple tense is used for actions completed at a definite time in the past. You simply use the past tense form of the verb. Past continuous is for an action that happened around the time in which you are speaking of. You use was/were and the -ing form of the verb. Past perfect is to talk about complete actions in the past. You use the word had and the past participle. Finally, Past perfect continuous is used to talk about continuous situations that happened up until a certain point in the past. This form uses 'had' and 'been' and the -ing form of the verb.
