Managing a class is basically organising a classroom where students learn in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere whilst maintaining a certain level of discipline. Therefore the teacher is expected to contribute to this friendly environment by using favorable gestures, eye contact mechanisms as well as class arrangements. These features give room for a friendly and disciplined learning atmosphere. This has taught me that creating such an environment allows for great teacher and student relationship and a conducive learning environment, for not only the student but also the teacher.This unit dealt with conditionals and reported speech. Thus far, I believe that the material in this section would be the hardest for the students to grasp. Other units have presented more technical English grammar rules, however this unit provides more room for mistakes. The exceptions to the rules and the various options that one has in forming these types of sentences is endless, providing for many difficulties on the learning side of things. I believe that teaching conditionals and especially reported speech would require more preparation and creativity on the teachers part.
