This was a really great example of what to expect when teaching students a foreign language. Very easy to see how the teacher's attitude can greatly affect the atmosphere of a classroom. Since I had never seen someone teach English in action, it was really refreshing to see that even though I might be a bit intimidated by a classroom full of students, they might also be intimidated by the teacher if the teacher doesn't come off as friendly and approachable.The ESA was not properly followed by the teacher in both lessons.If the Engage step was done on the first lesson students were going to participate more effectively but they seemed to be more confused because the auxilary verb was not properly explained to them.To reprimand students for wrong answers makes them to be afraid to participate.Both lesson where not really effective though the second one, the students understood it far much better than the first.
