Unit 11- Teaching receptive. This is a new topic for me as I never learn about this topic in details before. The topic is short but the test is quite tricky especially for those questions of ESA. I personally think that this topic is more on asking the students to read and practise the language. We can improve our language skill by reading a simple book in the beginning. In order to improve the receptive skills, one has to put in the effort to read and write.This unit covers the topic of classroom management. I learned how a teacher is supposed to use eye contact, gestures and the voice in the classroom to convey certain messages.
This unit also shows the importance of group work to increase student talk time and active participation and encourages the teachers to use group work frequently in their lessons.
Finally, this unit shows ways to maintain discipline in class and how to respond to problem behaviour.
