I learnt that there is a lot of different materials a teacher can bring into the classroom. Each type of material has it's advantages and disadvantages. Some of the materials depend on what the school supplies but many of them depend on how much work the teacher is willing do. With technology increasing everyday, visual aids for anything is only a click away. I think that it is important to use many different types to appeal to every type of learner in a class.This time I learned about how to manage classes. I read about how I should carry my body and voice so as to gain the students attention and keep them engaged. I learned about when different groupings should be used and how it greatly affects the productivity of the class. I also learned about keeping discipline and how to handle unruly students.
The core of the unit was to me that mutual respect between students and teacher is the ideal you want to strive for.
