My students have appraised the whole innovations in our lessons.As an English speaker who is studying Japanese I know how important vocab is. I this vocab trumps all other points of a language. Its the first thing we need to form basic communication. For the engage phase of a lesson I usually play a song for my students and have them sing it. Sometimes if I'm going to teach the children about specific vocab Ill show them a picture first. For example we were learning about towns, so I showed my students my town to engage them.
