If there's anything that I've gained from tefl, it's that english Language learners have an enormous amount to understand. Although I'm a native english speaker, I've realized how truly complex the english language is. It's up to us, as teachers, to effectively impart our knowledge of the parts of speech, tenses, conditionals, reported/directed speech, modals, phrasal verbs, and grammar onto these students. Above all, knowledge, patience, hard work, ingenuity, and humor will provide students with an enjoyable and meaningful classroom experience. Their learning will unavoidably advance as long as the teacher emphasizes all of that.
