This chapter introduces ideas when teaching the three main aspects of a new language, namely, vocabulary, grammatical structures and functions. It explains what students generally need to know about a new vocabulary or a new piece of grammar. It also lists the activities the teacher can conduct during the engage, study or activate stage. I found this part especially helpful because they go bend theory and provide ideas of schemes and designs for real-life classes.I have learned the differences between the Past Simple, Past Perfect, Past Continuous, and Past Perfect Continuous. How and when to form and use these grammatical concepts as well as implement games to better develop the implementation of the past conjugation.Since it is very similar to the way the Present is formed it makes for an easier transition from Past to Present. The structure of the phrases is also a useful tool to understand how to form better sentences.
