Classroom management. This is possibly the most difficult aspect of teaching as it incorporates subject competency as well as interpersonal skills. A teacher must build a personal relationship, report, with their students by understanding their interests, culture, abilities, etc. At the same time a teacher must maintain an appropriate distance, without letting the boundaries between friend and teacher blur. Discipline must also stay in place whilst engagement occurs. Since many activities and games can be rather boisterous, this could present a problem if rapport, respect, or interest is lacking. The insights given during this lesson will help me to maintain a positive learning atmosphere without losing control of my class. For example, reducing my talking time, preparing anything to write on the board Before hand, making sure the seating arrangement is appropriate, etc.
