This unit went over a path for teaching and understanding how to teach receptive skills. The short Unit started out breaking down the reasons in which people are receptive then proceeded to show how to incorporate techniques into your teaching. Overall students should be intrigued and able to deduce meaning from what they are listening and reading.In this lesson, I learned the proper use of modal verbs and their different content. I also learned more about auxiliary verbs. I learned about the difference between active and passive voices when using auxiliary verbs. But in my opinion, the phrasal verbs were difficult for me to understand let alone someone learning English as a second language.
