I have learnt that a simple statement has many levels of meaning and can understand why its one of the hardest languages to learn, one word used in one sentence can make no sense if used in the incorrect order or sequence. I have learnt a stronger understanding of grammer as it wasnt a huge part of education in writing more so verbally when growing upAs an English second language speaker, the correct usage of tenses are difficult. In everyday conversations it is not noticeable - as long as you can make yourself understood. Going through the tenses, made me realize how vitally important this aspect of language is, to familiarize students with the tense formats, drilling exercises might be helpful.
