Unit 20 reflected up common problems and situations that may arise when teaching. It is important to establish a rapport with students during the first lesson and if this is a new group allowing students to participate in activities to establish a rapport with each other. Teacher should never refer to course book during the first lesson and should make use of questionaires and surveys to find out students needs and figure out their english level. Some examples of problems a teacher may come across is that there may be different levels of students in the same class. This problem can be fixed in various of ways. The teacher may choose to split the class into a strong group and a lower level group and use different matterials for each group. The teacher may also choose to use the same materials for the entire class but give the stronger students more complicated tasks. A more balanced way in my opinion and how I would choose to go about the different levels would be to pair or group stronger students with weaker students. The stronger students could help explain lessons or clarify things for the students and this will also help to build the rapport amoung the students.
