This unit illustrates how teachers should conduct an effective lesson and it also shows how the teacher incorporated the ESA technique into the lesson. In the first lesson the teacher failed to make the students excited about learning. There was no lesson plan and the teacher seemed unsure of what he was teaching. The students did not fully understand what was being taught and the teacher failed to make them gain understanding. The teacher interrupted the students while they were doing there group work and made the students feel intimidated by telling them that the material is easy and they should already know it. In the second lesson however, the teacher engaged the students and make them excited to learn. He made it a point of duty to know the students names and make them feel comfortable to learn a new language. The teacher praised the students much more than he corrected them. He engaged them into activities and allowed them to work in groups with interrupting them. The second lesson was proven to be more effective and constructive than the first lesson.
