I have taught english, french and German without having any prior training as a teacher, in a one to one setting. It has never created any problems hence I always used books and my imagination to create lessons. I do realize when teaching a class, one is exposed to various situations and issues. I knew I had to learn how to teach a class and follow a certain structure before entering any classroom. This course has provided all the various structures I need to teach a class. It has helped me to see the variety of possibilities to teach and where to find the information. It literally opened my eyes to the structural part of teaching I knew little about. It made me recognize my weaknesses and how much of the grammar was unfortunately a bit dormant. I have learned plenty and know now where I have to put in some extra learning. I do not allow myself to say that I am ready yet to teach a class until I get the tefl diploma. I appreciated the input I received from Mike during the lessons and I am looking forward to continue my Teaching english Business Course with you, Tania.
