Conditionals and Reported Speech - Backshifting Places

There are certain words that need backshifting when using reported speech. In this video we look at backshifting places in reported speech. This video is specifically aimed at teaching reported speech in an ESL setting.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

I learned how to lead a classroom management skills from this unit. and eye contact, gesture and the voice and other types of positions helped a lot. I learned how to avoid TTT(teacher talking time)and STT(student taking time)skill to the levels of students. I will apply the skills I learned through this unit to my class. Thank you very much. This unit definitely was tougher compared to the present and past tenses. The qualities that separate the nuances seemed minute at first and blend together somewhat. I've got a better appreciation for the future tenses I don't normally use though it'll still take some practice to consciously and subconsciously differentiate them in real life.
