ITTT's 470-hour TEFL/TESOL Professional Package consists of four fully accredited TEFL/TESOL certifications. This unit explained the uses of modals, phrasal verbs and passive voice. I learned that modals are used to express different concepts, such as obligation, permission or advice. Passive voice allows the speaker to put emphasis on a person or the subject in question. Phrasal verbs are multi-verb words used to express different actions or concepts.The production skills of speaking and writing are both important, especially since writing can help reinforce reading and speaking. Accuracy and fluency are also two important skills taught during the study and activate phase respectively. Production skills are not just important for use, but to reinforce learning into memory through active use.
