TESOL TEFL Reviews - Video Testimonial - Roman

Roman is a business communications trainer in Malaysia. Originally from the Philippines, he completed his 120-hour certificate course with ITTT as his first step towards starting a career in English language teaching. In this TEFL review Roman discusses how he found that he learned much more than he expected from the course, including information about classroom management, lesson planning and phonology. Roman also appreciated the great flexibility an online TEFL course provides meaning he was able to study while maintaining an active social life in his spare time.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

Thank you for useful information about receptive skills. I usually use ESA method “Straight arrow” cause Boomerang ESA plan or Patchwork ESA plan doesn’t fit to my students level of English. I often prepare receptive skills lesson for them. So thank you for the plan of typical receptive skill lesson although you gave me a Patchwork ESA.In this lesson we learn about the two receptive skills reading and listeniing. We learn the two reasons for reading and listening; for purpose and for entertainment. The unit then goes on to break down the five special skills we use in reading and writing which are predictive, scanning, skimming, detailed information, and deduction based on context.
