TEFL TESOL Courses in Natal

Our tefl course in Brazil is located in the coastal city of Natal, also known as the ‘city of sun’. Natal is a popular destination for visitors from all over the world who are drawn here by the fantastic climate, beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters and spectacular coral reefs. The area is also famous for having the best air quality in the Americas, which is just one of the many reasons why this is a perfect location for taking a TEFL course.

During the week you will spend much of your time at our training centre receiving high quality teacher training from our experienced and motivating staff members. However, over the weekends you will have the freedom to do as much or as little as you like. The city is large enough to offer Plenty of attractions and activities to keep you busy, although it is also small enough to be explored on a personal level. Of course, you may wish to simply spend your time relaxing under the brazilian sun on one of the area’s spectacular beaches.

One of the attractions that you may want to explore is the Fort of Holy Kings. This star shaped fort was built by Portuguese settlers in 1598 and still contains cannons and other relics from its long history. It also offers fantastic views of the city and the surrounding area. Another place where you can get a good feel for the area is the Farol de Mae Luiza lighthouse which provides spectacular views of the beaches of Areia Preta, Genipabu and Ponta Negra.

The Natal tourism centre is set in a former prison and is actually a fascinating attraction in itself. It contains a handicraft gallery featuring displays of glass, fabric and wooden items which depict the cultural history of the region.

As with the rest of the country, the people of Natal are obsessed with the national sport of football. It seems that every person in the country plays the game and there are numerous opportunities to experience the atmosphere of a big match as Natal is home to three professional clubs who all play in the local Machadao Stadium. As the city has been named as one of the venues for the 2014 World Cup there has been huge investment in the local infrastructure which has further enhanced the attraction of the area.

Natal is also known for the Brazilian martial art of Capoeira. This unique form of martial art combines elements of dance and music with quick, complex moves which are fascinating to watch. A visit to a demonstration of Capoeira is an opportunity you will not want to miss.
